Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently had AES Scotland design and install electric gates for our driveway, and we are honestly delighted.

The communication from the beginning, the update on how things were progressing and the end result have been fantastic (and they worked through the horrendous weather to complete)!

I'd highly recommend AES, a lovely team and great quality workmanship!

Advising on all aspects of the gates and making sure they were the right fit for my property. The final product looks amazing and works flawlessly. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We got new gates fitted by AES. I have to say the whole process was exceptionally easy. Lisa in the office was extremely fast in coming back to me. Gordon came out to measure and gave me a view I had not considered. Gordon and his colleague came out on the day they said and fitted the gates. Very impressive service. I would highly recommend this company.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. AES were recommended to us by friends who had new gates installed and were very happy with the outcome they achieved. Our situation was very different - old, deactivated, concealed motor, iron gate on a shared driveway that apparently had never worked well - we weren't too hopeful that a fix was possible and were bracing ourselves for a completely new install.

However, Gordon and his team managed to clear out the motors and get them working again. The intercom and controls were dragged from an old, unreliable dialler system in to the 21st century and we can now see from and control our gates from anywhere in the world. A new free exit radar and safety features we hadn't even thought about were installed for an altogether more complete system. Gordon even kindly took the time to explain the system to the neighbours that share our driveway.

The quality of workmanship speaks for itself but Gordon and his team were also by far one of the easiest to communicate with and most professional contractors we have dealt with throughout a complex renovation. We would recommend AES to anyone.

Aluminium Gates Designed for Dundee Properties

The entrance to your property should complement the home behind it.

Our bespoke approach means your aluminium gates can be designed around the architecture of your property, the available space and the way you use your driveway or entrance.

For larger detached properties and private homes, a carefully designed aluminium entrance can provide a combination of kerb appeal, privacy, security and convenience without the ongoing maintenance associated with traditional timber gates.

We work with a wide range of property styles across Dundee and the surrounding areas, including larger detached homes and private properties in areas such as Broughty Ferry, Barnhill and Dundee’s West End.

Whether you want a clean contemporary design or something with a more traditional appearance, we can help you choose a gate style, colour and finish that complements your property.

Why Aluminium Gates Are a Popular Choice for Dundee Properties

R

NO ROT, WARPING OR CRACKING

Unlike traditional timber gates, aluminium will not rot, warp, shrink, expand or crack over time.

R

MINIMAL MAINTENANCE

There’s no regular sanding, staining or repainting. Simply clean your gates periodically to keep them looking their best.

R

BESPOKE COLOURS & FINISHES

Our aluminium gates are available in the complete RAL colour range, allowing your gate to complement your property’s existing colours and finishes.

R

WOOD-EFFECT FINISHES

Prefer the appearance of timber? Wood-effect aluminium provides a traditional look while retaining the durability and low-maintenance characteristics of aluminium.

R

PRIVACY & SECURITY

Choose from open, semi-private and fully private designs depending on your property’s requirements.

R

MATCHING FENCING

Complete your entrance with matching aluminium fencing, pedestrian gates and wall-top systems.

Bespoke Aluminium Gates for Dundee Properties

Every property is different, which is why we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Our bespoke aluminium gates are available in a wide variety of styles, finishes and constructions, allowing us to create an entrance that complements your property and meets your practical requirements.

Whether you’re looking for a contemporary entrance for a modern home, a traditional-style gate for an established property or a substantial entrance for a larger home, country property or rural estate, we can help create a solution to suit.

Choose from the complete RAL colour range, alongside a wide selection of finishes and design options. For homeowners who prefer the appearance of natural timber, wood-effect aluminium gates provide a traditional aesthetic while offering the durability and low-maintenance benefits of aluminium.

We can also manufacture bespoke gates based on a design you’ve seen elsewhere. If you have a particular style in mind, our team can discuss the possibilities and help develop a design around your property.

For larger homes, private driveways and rural properties across Dundee and the surrounding areas, aluminium gates can provide an impressive entrance without the ongoing maintenance associated with traditional timber. Electric field and estate gate designs can also combine a more traditional appearance with modern convenience.

Electric Gates, Driveways & Matching Aluminium Fencing

For homeowners looking for greater convenience, privacy and controlled access, our aluminium gates can be supplied with electric automation. Depending on the available space and requirements of your property, options include electric swing gates, tracked sliding gates, cantilever gates, automated field and estate gates and electric pedestrian gates, with access-control options also available.

A driveway gate is often one of the first things people see when approaching a property, so the design needs to complement both the entrance and the property itself. Our bespoke aluminium driveway gates can be designed around the size and layout of your driveway, existing walls, fencing and landscaping.

For properties with limited space, sliding and cantilever gates can provide an alternative to traditional swing gates, while larger entrances can accommodate substantial automated gate systems that combine visual impact with additional privacy and security.

To complete the entrance, we also supply matching aluminium fencing panels, pedestrian gates and wall-top systems. These can create a coordinated appearance throughout your boundary while enhancing privacy, security and kerb appeal.

Whether you need a single driveway gate, a fully automated entrance or a complete gate and fencing solution, we can help you choose a design that works for your property, lifestyle and budget.

Aluminium Gates Dundee – Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are aluminium gates worth the investment?

For many homeowners, aluminium gates are an attractive long-term investment because they combine durability, low maintenance and a wide choice of designs.

Unlike timber, aluminium does not rot, warp, shrink or crack, helping to reduce the maintenance associated with traditional wooden gates.

2. How long do aluminium gates last?

High-quality aluminium gates are designed to provide many years of service. Aluminium is naturally resistant to corrosion and doesn’t suffer from the rot associated with timber.

The lifespan of a gate will depend on its construction, installation, usage and ongoing care.

3. Are aluminium gates suitable for the Scottish climate?

Yes. Aluminium is well suited to outdoor use and is resistant to many of the problems associated with traditional timber gates.

It won’t rot, warp or crack in the same way that timber can, making it a practical choice for properties exposed to Scotland’s changing weather conditions.

4. What colours are available for aluminium gates?

Our aluminium gates are available in the complete RAL colour range, giving you a wide choice of colours.

Wood-effect finishes are also available if you prefer the appearance of natural timber.

5. Can aluminium gates be automated?

Yes. Aluminium gates can be supplied with electric automation, including swing, tracked sliding and cantilever systems.

Access-control options can also be considered depending on your requirements.

6. Are aluminium gates suitable for larger properties?

Yes. Bespoke aluminium gates can be particularly effective for larger homes, private driveways, rural properties and estates.

The design can be tailored to the proportions of the entrance, while options such as automation, privacy panels and matching fencing can create a complete entrance solution.

7. What is the difference between full aluminium and aluminium-clad gates?

Full aluminium gates are constructed predominantly from aluminium, while aluminium-clad gates generally use a steel frame with aluminium cladding or panels.

Both can provide attractive and durable solutions, with the most appropriate option depending on the design, size and intended use.

8. Do you install matching aluminium fencing?

Yes. We can supply matching aluminium fencing panels, pedestrian gates and wall-top systems to complement your new gate.

9. Do you install aluminium gates outside Dundee?
